I have used Mindjet for several years and its a great tool. However, now one of my maps refuse to open in Mindjet. I can see other people have posted the same issue a few years ago but no direct solution to the problem.

Appreciate help with this.

Thanks! //Mathias

I have the same problem with Android 5.0.2 and Mindset 4.1, Samsung Tab A (Model SM-P550). Downloaded app last week, then created several maps in the last couple of days. Today I opened one of them, closed it. When I came back to reopen a moment or two later, it would not open. Other maps do open.

Please help. I put a lot of work into that map. Nothing fancy. It has sub topics and a few notes.

With Android it feels like we're back in the darkest days of Windows 3.1!

I'm now backing up all my maps with the copy comand, but not sure that will work. Will also print them out frequently on paper. Huge hastle, but better than loosing the maps.

Does MindMap do auto backups, and if so, where are they?

Please help me recover my map.

Yes... it pretty much voids the use of Mindmap. Too bad because its a great tool when it works!

Mathias, you're right. I'm back to paper or mindjet 9 on XP SP3 off line. I know that works and is solid as a rock, kinda... Thanks for replying. (Note that my .bak file was also bad.) Great app, but not much use the way it is.

Charles, have you tried Mindmeister? Seems like a good alternative, would like to know what you think if you have used it!

I have the same issue. I create my mindmaps on my PC with Freemind but like to update them occasionally using Mindjet Maps on Android. Now, recently, Mindjet Maps will open some but fails to open others. There seems to be no pattern as to which it will or will not open.

Has anyone managed to figure this one out?

Well... I suppose since nothing has changed with Mndjet Maps in the past -many- months, there must be a change, or bug in your Freemind software.

Since Freemind is open source you maybe able to pinpoint the error and repair it.
