Unfortunately Brittney I don’t believe that there is much point in that. I have spoken to support over the phone and their message is very clear and unapologetic.

Office 2010 64 bit is not supported, support was not included in the very recent service pack and there is NO time plan to include it or upgrade the application to 64bit.

You might want to reconsider the text under technical requirements
http://www.mindjet.com/mindmanager-te...

Change from “32 bit Microsoft Office RECOMMENDED (for "Send to MindManager" functionality)” to 32 bit REQUIRED as this is what the support staff is communicating.

It would have been great to know before I purchased and also spent hours on restarting, repairing and reinstalling Office and Mindmanager.

Kind regards
Anders

I also have the exact same problem as Anders- Windows 7, 64 bit Office 2010 and cannot get the software to access Outlook. I too wish I knew this before I purchased the software. I have purchased 1 license and was considering it for my team, but since we all 64 bit MS Office, there doesn't seem to be a point in buying additional licenses until this is fixed.
Regards
Joy

Hello!
Does anybody know if there is an estimate due date for an update for Office 2010 64 bit, in which this problem will be successfully solved?
Thanks in advance.

I just encountered the same issue using MM 2012 and Office 2010.

Solved the issue by closing MM, Outlook, and MS Lync, then go to C:\Program Files\Mindjet\MindManager 10 and rename "MindManager.config" to "MindManager.config~"

Reboot.

Then start MindManager. It will look like it is reinstalling, however it is simply refreshing settings (including connection to Outlook settings).

Start Outlook.

Once the applications loaded again, all my sync to Outlook issues disappeared.

I am running windows ultimate 7 (64 bit) & office 10 (64 bit). I tried your steps (rename the config file, reboot, start MM, then Outlook), and no luck. The add-ins simply aren't there. MM is a 32 bit app. Based on all of the comments in this forum, it looks like MM won't play with the 64 bit version of MS Office.

It really surprises me that this issue has not been pushed to the top of Mindjet's Wildfires list. I am a consultant for a gov agency. Based on my recommendations, the agency purchased one copy for me to test out. It looked so promising, but in the absence of MS-Office connectivity, it's a non-starter.

If Mindjet cannot fix the x64 bit issue, then I would suggest that they offer a "lite" version at a much lower price so that those of us on current era 64 bit platforms aren't having to pay for the features only available to those on yesteryear's 32 bit platforms.

Maritza_B: Thank You for contacting Mindjet. How can I provide you with excellent customer service?

You (me): when will the fix for office64 and mm10 be available?

Maritza_B: We do not have a set date yet but we should come up with a new update around September

So people, the only course of action is hope for the best.
