Ability to query specific task list in SharePoint

Customer is using one SharePoint team site to host multiple task lists for a number of separate but related projects. For instance, they have a Team Site called ACME Widgets with the following task lists:

\\sharepoint\ACME Widgets\lists\Project A Task List
\\sharepoint\ACME Widgets\lists\Project B Task List
\\sharepoint\ACME Widgets\lists\Project C Task List

In a Mindjet map they want to create a query that will pull tasks from a specific project task list. For instance, they want all tasks from Project B Task List to be pulled into a topic with Mindjet 11 for Windows. The existing SharePoint query doesn’t provide a way to query only tasks from a specific task list. The query is done across all task lists. So this makes it difficult/impossible for them to pull in just the tasks from a specific task list.

While the workaround can be to use the Mindjet On-Premise web app since this feature is available in there, having to edit maps using two separate apps is confusing and hard to get adopted by their users. They have tried another workaround which is to add additional metadata but this would not work well in practice as people may forget to add the metadata or use the wrong one when they added it manually and therefore make the query return incorrect results.
