Accessing maps on iOS devices is unreliable

I am using Mindjet for Windows on a PC and Mindjet Maps on an iPad2 and iPhone5, all up to date versions of the software.
Both the iPad and the iPhone have times when they are unable to open folders in Mindjet Files. The message "Connecting.." stays on and nothing happens.
The map I am editing gets Check Out by a device without my being aware of that.

When its Checked back in from the PC, the lock symbol remains on the iOS file icon. What does the 1 in a circle next to the refresh icon mean on Mindjet Maps?

Contrast this with Dropbox which navigates quickly and files are downloaded rapidly, as you would expect on 11mbs ADSL connection.

Yes, our team also has some issues with devices checking out maps automatically without users knowing about this and not checking in maps quickly enough. This happens frequently when a user is just viewing some information in a map and then closing the app (e.g. using the home button on iOS devices)

The 1 in a circle next to the refresh icon means that there is one change waiting to be synced from the device to the server.

Hi Mathieu, Aah! Thanks for those insights.

I didn't realise the iOS apps were map padlockers! I thought they were part of a transparent and integrated collaborative working environment! :)

We should be able to have Mindjet Desktop and Mindjet Web users co-editing without issues though. What is your experience?

We have a weekly team meeting in which we use Mindjet Connect intensively, we have 12 team members which edit one shared map during the week. We discuss the shared map once a week in our team meeting using a reporting format using the aHa!Matrix export on a projector screen.

However, every two weeks or so there's someone in the team who's changes have been lost somewhere in the process between one meeting and the next one. This is true both for desktop en web clients of Mindjet Connect. As a safe measure I keep a weekly back-up of our shared map on our Box installation.

So al in all, we have a mixed experiences with Mindjet Connect. Actually, Mindjet Catalyst worked better for us (no need to press CTRL+S for example).
