Action Project repeat tags, and dire need for 2-way task-map syncing to justify new price model

In Mindjet 10 for Mac, topics associated with Mindjet Action tasks are having the Project tag repeat several times. For example, I created a project "Publish" in Action, and after going back and forth between Windows, Mac and Web-based Mindjet apps, I've accumulated 5 "Project: Publish" tags on my topic in the Mac view. Deleting one tag deletes them all.
On a related note, how soon can we expect integration of contacts & resources on the web and desktop versions, and full task syncing. The price increase for this new integrated vision is grossly premature without these features available. True integration of Action and desktop apps is a must-have, and these items are listed as priorities on the Vision Web app "learn more" link. A timeline would go a long way toward convincing customers like me who are considering buying several more "seats" for my working group. I won't buy those seats until I see 2-way integration of the mapping and task management.

Hi BJ. I believe you may have found a bug (the tags issue). I've forwarded this to the QA team.

The Windows desktop is currently leading the way with our vision for integrating the tasks with mapping. Have you tried that or are you mostly using the Mac? Today, you can create topics in your window's map, assign resources (from the web) and transform those topics into Mindjet Tasks. From there, you can access the tasks on your Windows desktop, the web application or your mobile app. We'll shortly be enhancing the mobile experience.

We're currently working on the task integration for Mac. We're working on shorter release cycles now so within the next couple of releases you should start to see the feature evolving for Mac too.

What were you referring to in regards to the "contacts & resources" being integrated? You can access web resources on the Windows desktop so I'm asking to be sure that I understand what exactly you're looking for / expecting.

Thanks,
Michael

Dear Michael,
Thanks for your reply. I just discovered the "refresh Mindjet tasks" function in Windows MJ and can't wait to see that come to Mac.

There are still some key pieces for "full integration" that I would like to see:

1. connect the attachments feature (tab) of Action with attachments and hyperlinks in maps so task owners can access working documents directly from the task manager.

2. As for resources; Mindjet desktop resources, "Contacts" in the web app, and resources in subfolders of the web app are all different populations. A unified contact/resource list would be cleaner and might avoid the confusion of multiple listings for a single team member. Carrying photos for resources across all platforms would be nice too.

I like what I'm hearing, Michael, and look forward to continued advances for those who prefer to work in the Mac ecosystem.

Thanks Michael

I have just spent good money on upgrading from Mindmanager 9 for Mac to Mindjet thinking that I would receive synced tasks from within the Mindjet desktop app to Mindjet Tasks. But I was wrong! Expensive mistake and I wish I had better understood what I was paying for. Please help me safe time and work smarter rather then having to manually export tasks and have no syncing.

I think those of us using Mac and upgrading to Mindjet purchased a product that we have not received. The vision for the integration captured me immediately and I bought in. Manually exporting tasks is completely unacceptable. The Tasks Web and Map Web interfaces do not interact except to one way send new tasks to the Tasks Web/App. It is completely useless. Somehow, Mindjet thought it could charge for functionality that didn't even exist yet. Unfortunately, not an uncommon practice these days.

I have to suck it up and spend a day to move back to OmniFocus. Very, very disappointing.
