It would be great to have a technical capability to place a specific macro onto the quick access toolbar. Many people use such functionality with VBA macro in Microsoft Office.

You can add most MIndManager functions/commands to you Quick Access Toolbar just by doing

Right-click the command and select what you want.

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately I cannot do this with macros.

Yes you can.......

There is an option to create your own TAB in the ribbon  (read the user manual and /or help on how to use it)
In that tab you can have your Macro editor, but also your own macro's
Those macro's can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar

Based on Ary's suggestion, I found a way to get a list of macro's in the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) without adding a new Ribbon Tab.

Step1: add Macros list to QAT

Step2: check icon in QAT

Step3: Set-up the macro's you want to see in the list

Be sure to set the Menu to 'Macro popup menu' for the macros you want to see under the Macros icon in the QAT

Step4: results

Got it! I did the same sophisticated trick and it works fine.
However Ary's solution seems to me more elegant.

Thank you.

You won't be able to show the individual macros in a custom tab, the functions listed in Ary's tab on the left hand side look like standard MindManager functions.

The best you can do is to add the same button as in my QAT-example above to a custom Ribbon Tab.

Hm...
Can you find "Export as Image" and "Export as Web Pages" commands at the All Commands list of MM 2018?

OK, I have succeeded in getting my macro to appear on the "Macro Popup Menu" and I have succeeded in getting the Macro Popup Menu to appear on my own tab. But it's still too many clicks away.

Is there any way to either
A) Get the macro itself to appear on the ribbon
or
B) Allocate a hotkey/keyboard shortcut to the macro?

Cheers

J

To my knowledge:
  A) Not yet.
  B) Not yet --- MM 2019 is still very tight on allowing users to alter its default shortcuts.

I submitted both requests during MM 2019 beta testing, but MM team still hasn't implemented the very useful features.
