Adding a stock price to a formula (adding variable data to formula that updates automatically and periodically)

I would like to add an auto-updating securities (stock or bond) price to formulas in a mindmanager map. I thought I might use a database, but I have no skills in this area. Does anyone have an idea what I could do or where I can learn what to do? - Even if it is convoluted - point me in a direction and I will try it till I fail.

Just an idea. You may be able to acquire live data on an Excel Spreadsheet and use the Send to MindManager button in Excel to copy a range to your map.

If you are using MAP for MindManager you could use the Excel Property function to read the value from a MS Excel worksheet cell into a MindManager Custom Property which could then be used withing the Map for further calculations. The Property can then be synced with the Excel Sheet to read in an updated value at any time.

You can read a little about how this works here: under the Excel properties heading
