After reinstall mindjet connect not visible in desktop application

I reinstalled mindjet manager 16 desktop application after a refresh of my laptop. This went well, but now I do not have the possibility to connect to mindjet connect anymore in the lower left corner, and also not on the files open/save popup screen. Who knows what I have to do to get this back?

Hi Jack

Which MindManager license do you have? Perpetual, Subscription, Mindjet for Business or something else?

Are File - Options - Mindjet Files settings as you would expect?

Mindjet Files does not appear to an Add-in. Might be worth checking that would you expect is enabled in File - Options - Add-ins

There are some keys in the Registry which I have in my installation. Do you have them?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Mindjet\MindManager\16\Connect
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Mindjet\MindManager\16\Connect Window

I had the same problem. This is my work-around.

I re-installed my previous 2014 version. Than I installed the 2016 version. After that I had back the possibility to connect with Mindjet connect in the 2016 version. After I had uninstalled the 2014 version the connection to Mindjet connect remained in the bottom left corner of the 2016 version and worked properly.

Hi Jack,

Please navigate to  File from main menu --> Option-->General 
check "Enable Mindjet Files & Tasks
