Android sync with Box stopped working

Maps stopped syncing with Box and reset won't fix it. As of last week, maps would sync my mind maps to box. Earlier this week I found it was no longer syncing. I cleared cache and tried to reset the app but now, the setup for the box account doesn't pop up the permission box as it normally would and instead flashes and then returns me to the configuration screen.
