Another potential data loss scenario and possible workaround

If you are working on a map in Connect (Web version) and you have another Connect map linked to it, when you click the link you are prompted whether you wish to open the map in Connect (web) or MindManager (Desktop).

When you opt for opening in Connect (Web) the map is opened in a new instance of Connect in a new broswer tab.

WARNING! When you make changes to this map they may be lost WITHOUT any save prompt by navigating to the Contacts or Files menu options or closing the browser tab.

Also, the File menu item fails to deliver the drop down menu. This was the case in both Firefox and Chrome.

Possible Workaround

Once you open the linked map immeadiately refresh the page. This seems to allow access to the File menu, show the People in Map count correctly (previously it shows 0 while I was in the map) and prompt for map save upon changing the window (although this seemed intermittent for me)

You just have to remember to refresh the page first.

I hope this helps.

It seems that, (in Firefox at least), the refresh will still not get you a Save Promt when changing to Files or Contacts view. So hopefully with the File menu functional you can at least manually save the map changes BEFORE you navigate away from the page.
