Assigning Costs

I was looking at some of the webinars and remember seeing the ability to assign a cost to a subtopic (task) and then roll up the costs to a higher level. Unfortunately some of the webinars are listed but can't be accessed on the web site. Reading through this forum it doesn't seem possible. So is there a way to attach a cost to a topic or did I misunderstand the webinar? Thanks.

I think that you may be referring to rolling up the number of days that it will take complete tasks. Currently there is no way to calculate costs. I will change your question to an idea so that our product team can take this into consideration for future releases. Thank you!

Thanks. There is already a similar idea. This would also be helpful in risk analysis for projects too.

There are Addins which will sum subtopics e.g.
And possibly others on MMDevX

adding user defined properties (e.g. costs) in a generic way (to all tasks) and aggregating related values is an essential feature to support project planning. Especially in a early phase I have to quickly generate a rough calculation of costs without adding detailed start/end dates or durations AND relationships between tasks.

Since it was available in JCVGantt before that was integrated into MM, I expect that it becomes available again in the next release.
