You can create a theme which has relationships with auto-adjust.

You can go to an existing map, right click a relationship, Format Relationship, tick auto-adjust, click Map Theme, Save in Default Theme for this map

Hi,

I'm using MindManager 2019 and facing the same issue thanĀ @Jofsey
I've tired, but I can set default value of any property except auto-adjust.
I would really appreciate setting my relationships template to "auto-adjust" as default behavior.

Does anyone know if it is possible already? Or "auto-adjust" can't be set default anyway?

Thank you very much!

We discussed a few years ago to set the Auto-Adjust function as default, but there were serious reasons not to do so.

However, I would like to give you some tips on how to achieve the desired behavior relatively easily:

1. Default type for relationships: In the video you can see that the relationship type is Angled. If you change the type to Straight, you might already have the desired effect. You can also make this type the default for this map by using the Map Theme button (see image A).

2. It is possible to apply Auto-Adjust for all relationships in a map. For this purpose please proceed as follows (see also image B)

a) Open flowchart or concept map.

b) Press CTRL+A to select all objects (topics, boundaries, relationships)

c) Now click on a relationship with a right mouse click and then click Auto Adjust in the context menu.

Result is that Auto-Adjust is applied to all selected relationships and the Auto-Adjust setting is saved for the relationships.

We have also introduced a further improvement with MM20. The start and end point of relationships can now be moved in 3mm steps to avoid overlapping lines.
