I am a Phd student using Mindjet to view and organise graphical outputs from analysis. My native programing language is R.

I have created a large number of graph plots as .jpegs I want to create topics within a topic path that can be specified for each of these with links to the relevent .jpeg file.

The files were created and named systematically using for loops, I would envisage using something similar to create and link the topics.

I assume Id be wanting to use the macro availible for this but am unsure about the procedure, Id be very greatful for any help.

An easier alternative would be to import from text with links attached to specific lines, is this possible?

Easy to do without macros.

Just drag the jpeg files (you can select them all) from file explorer on to the map. The topic text will inherit the file names.

Alternatively use the Map Parts - File Explorer - Files or the others if relevant. I think these will automatically update the map if files change in the linked folder.

This is again a perfect example of how things can be easy if you are well-trained (or are a trainer yourself ;-)

It also shows the value of people like Andrew and Ary. Whish MJ had a hints and tips page. Of course the content needs to be in mm format.  If my memory serves, did a hints and tips section used to exist?

Thanks so much for getting back to me!

Hmm, dragging the links does work but doesnt do exactly what im after:

Id like the topic name for the link to have a different name than the file itself and to be bale to definethe relationship quickly

eg. if I was to import as text:

Main topic

               Sub topic1

Title of fig1a * clickable link to .jpeg file of link

Title of fig 1b* clickable link to .jpeg file of link

               Sub topic 2

Title of fig2a* clickable link to .jpeg file of link

I can write a loop to generate this kind of text quickly, but not sure how to include links in importable text like this. Do you have any suggestions?
