A name is a word, is a combination of letters or letter groups. If we try to compose a new name, we simply play with such word parts, until we obtain a melodic whole. But imagine MM would be able to generate hundreds of words and phrases, but of course in a controlled, customizable way.

A SIMPLE SOLUTION

a) we would decide the number of word parts, we want to put together to create new words (sample: part 1 and part 2)
b) an every part would act as variable. In fact there would be a list of possible letters or letter groups behind an every part (e.g. part 1 could contain: art, eye ; while part 2 would contain: ic, level, gene, tech)
c) MM would use one list entry from the first list, and put it together with one entry from the list of part 2. The result would be new words like: artic, eyelevel, artech, eyegene and so on

FURTHER DETAILS

1.Word parts could be branches.
2.Part values could be listed in the branch notes. But it would be possible to link a text file, which contains much larger or already customized lists (verbs, pronouns, good things, bad things, special beginnings or special endings..... all you can imagine)
3.The place we get new words could be the note of the parent branch.
4.Empty sub-branches would act as space between words (In this case we would obtain sentences instead of words.

This is a very simple construct, but of course you could create a much more complex NAME and SENTENCE GENERATOR. It would help finding names, titles, headlines, product or project names. It also would produce irritating sentences, which could stimulate thinking.

The concept mapping software ""Axon Idea Processor"" contains such a generator (which is just a small part of it). http://web.singnet.com.sg/~axon2000/

But you can also google for further generators.

If you are still asking you, why should MM create words or sentences for us, the answer is simple: to stimulate, surprise, provoke us.

It is a controlled randomization. We would get a lot of stupid words and sentences, but some of them would directly inspire us to further thoughts being interesting. Some other would simply encourage us to rebuild or recombine word parts, to change the order or kind of parts or words, to play around, to think about diverse possible linguistic ways and nuances. And there would be also combinations which would surprise us, force us to think about aspects we would probably never have done/expressed so.

MM wouldn't necessary directly solve our issues, but it would help to amplify our creative ""games""" [from mentalwaves]
