Cannot delete SharePoint Sites in settings

When I open Mindjet (I'm using MindManager 2016 V: 16.1.193), four error messages are appearing (one by one, I need to click OK and wait a couple of seconds, the next error message will appear). More or less, four different sites from SharePoint cannot be accessed:

I tried to remove the sites within the options for "SharePoint". After closing and opening Mindjet again, it brings up the same error messages. When having a look at the SharePoint settings in Mindjet, the sites and URLs are still the same.

What can I do to resolve this issue? It is pretty annoying to confirm four error messages before I can start working with Mindjet.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Did this problem occur before? Could it be that your in a corporate environment which doesn't allow you to edit the settings for the SharePoint Sites?

Hello Mathieu,

This problem occurred since the new version has been installed. Yes, I'm in a corporate environment. For some reason, there are a couple of users who are facing the same problem, but not all of them (all have the same version). We do have SharePoint in our environment but the connected SP sites are different. I do not know if this behavior depends on the client itself or on other policies. In addition, I have no clue why Mindjet is taking (particular) SP sites (by default?), I never tried to connect to.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Just a guess: Could it be that some of these SharePoint servers are delivered in the MindManager installation and the've been setup by the IT department? Maybe they tried to make sure the SharePoint server were part of your default installation?

Hi Mathieu,

I don't know. The responsible IT department told me that they will have a meeting with a Mindjet consulter. Within this meeting they will have a look at this problem and check for a solution... I will post the solution for my problem (if available :)).

Thank you for your help!

Unfortunately not. I'm still waiting for feedback of our IT department. I asked them again already - hope that I receive a feedback soon and will let you know the outcome.

Hi, are there any updates? I am facing the same problem. What might be a clue in my case is that the sharepoint sites that MindManager tries to open do not exist anymore (root URL changed). I even managed to delete these sites from XML files, but that did not do the trick; somehow MindJet stores the URLs of these sites elsewhere.

The problem has been solved now. After installing Win10 and a new Installation of Mindjet, the issue has been solved. Hope this helps you.
