Cannot open user dictionary - MM2012

I am trying to use the same custom dictionary in MM2012 as MS Office 2010.
I have added the following path to my MS Office dictionary as a dictionary entry in MM2012:

where "xxxxx" is my user ID.

When starting MM2012, I get an error window:

Cannot open user dictionary

Please verify that the user dictionary exists.

However, when I go into the MM2012 dictionary management window and select the "Modify" button, an editor window opens, showing all the entries in my MS Office dictionary.

So MM2012 complains on startup, yet is able to edit the custom user dictionary.

Is there a way to eliminate the false startup popup error?

I have the same problem with MM6 and MM7; others have the same problem with MM8 and MM9. It sounds like MindJet needs to issue a fix that works.
By the way, this is an 8-core Xeon PC with 16Gb memory, and running Windows 7 64-bit. Same probs under Win7 as under Win XP Virtual Machine. MM6 and MM7 were OK on previous PCs. Is this a Win 7 issue?

I think it's a 64 bit problem.
It works on Windows 7 32 bit (and Microsoft Office 32 bit).
