Can't edit mind map in Windows 10

I've recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 through Microsoft's free upgrade process (i.e., not a clean install). Thus, all of the programs I had installed in Windows 7, including MindManager, were "pre-installed" in my new Windows 10 environment. But my MindManager installation no longer works correctly. MindManager opens and displays my existing maps, but it won't let me select inside branches and edit them in a WYSIWYG fashion. If I have a branch selected, I can type new information, but it won't be displayed until I deselect the branch. Makes it very hard to edit a map. Never saw anything like this in Windows 7.

Has anyone else seen (and hopefully fixed) this problem?

Can anyone offer me suggestions? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't help.

I think it has - again- something to do with 32-64 bit differences that may come up when moving an older and not supported by Mindjet anymore version to new technolgy like Windows 10.
.
Check what (bit) type of machine, OS and office software you are working on.
Maybe it is time for an upgrade? The time you spent already has a price too ;-)

Yes, I think you're right, ARY. I'm downloading XMind right now, as the price of the latest verision of MindManager seems a bit steep for what I get out of it.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your copy of MindManager?

As you state you did not do a clean install of WIndows 10.

There are many stories about the horrible things that may happen because of that.

A possible solution to do a clean install afterwards, can be found here
 http://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-clean-install-windows-10/
and at several other places.

BTW I decided to stick with Windows 7 until windows 10 is stable.
