Can't sign in to new iPad Mindjet

I bought Mindjet for my iPad. My app froze up and would go nowhere so I deleted it and reloaded a new one. For the new one, Login requires that I have a Connect account. When I sign in with name and password, it says "Cannot create account, email is in use".

How do I get past that?

I have Mindjet Pro 7 on my computer - been loving it for years. But I can't seem to be able to connect to Connect from there. Can I?

It appears that you need to access the 'Log In' screen rather than the 'Sign Up' screen on Mindjet for iPad--if you can't recall the password associated with that email, tap on the 'Forgot Password' link to initiate the process of changing your password. Thanks
