Change starting date in planned project.

Is there a easy way to change project start date in MindJet11 - as it is in JCV Gantt Pro? I have a WBS built in MindJet11, but I need to play with different starting dates in the project (at top level). What I am asking for is a similar function as in JCV as mentioned. It is important that all task durations and relationships are kept intact after altering starting date.

Not that I know of yet. It's possible that one of the add-ins handles this (http://www.mmdevx.com/).

Thanks for your reply. This is a feature that should be a part of MindJet in the future - that would be fantastic and add even more creativity for planners. I will study the site you refers to.

I'm a bit biased here :) But the aHa!2way XLS add-in does allow to shift the entire project using the generated Gantt in Excel and then allows to sync the changes back to Mindjet.

Nothing wrong with being biased, thanks for sharing! I apologize for not recalling your exact solution!

not sure if this will help, but i built myself a map part with topics for weeks, months and qtrs, each had dependencies, so if i drop that into the map and change the start date, all the dates change accordingly.
then it is a case of setting dependencies to relative topics in your project. so for example you can say a topic starts on week 6 of the project, or month 3 etc...

not sure if that makes sense. happy to send you the map part if you think it might help
