Repeated save a conditional format in the library create a redundant conditional format with identical (!) name. the formats in the library seems not related with the applicated formats in the map....

I see what you mean - it is surprising that there is no restriction on saving multiple copies of rules with the same name.

At the very least there should be a dialogue box to confirm when you save a rule to the library that has the same name as an existing rule whether you want to overwrite that rule or save the new rule with a different name. Better yet there should be a universal facility to manage the rules library, at least to delete, rename and sort rules, much as there is already with the shapes library.

I'll post this also as a suggestion.

thanks, Alex.

Maybe it is possible to choose the same behavior as the tags: renaming a tag is ALWAYS possible. (Tags assigned to topics are renamed accordingly.) On the other hand, a rule that depends on a particular tag immediately loses its reference as soon as you rename a tag.

this is a mistake under the aspect of usability, since the user would expect the same behavior that he already knows (usability principle of expectancy compliance).
