Connection Mindjet 14 to Sharepoint with authentication fails

Hello everyone,
following Setup : Mindjet 14 on Desktop; Sharepoint Server 2013 on Premises

When starting Mindjet 14, I do have the option to enter Sharepoint Site data, ge the "send item to sharepoint" buttons and sharepoint mapparts. So far so good.

Then I try to connect to a sharepoint website. Upon entering the sharepoint data, I get the "Cannot authenticate" error message. No browsing, no Sitestructure, no sending etc. All I can do, is use sharepoint as "network drive":

Using "UNC Paths to access Sharepoint" does not change things.

a) Does this bug mean, I do not have MM Enterprise ? (How can I find out wether my license is  an Enteprrise one ?)
b) If other - Our sharepoint uses a single sign on instalation from Microsoft ("federation") - is MM not compatible with MS SSO ?

Finally - last but not least - <RANT MODE ON>
c) How come, that this behaviour seems to knock about for

!!!4 YEARS!!!

here in the community and not one decent HowTo/Support/Knowledge base article can be found - not even a good answer in this forum from Mindjet ?

If you are a single desktop user you will not have MindManager for enterprise

MM for Enterprise is a license with extra's that are available for larger customers (over 10 users)

You use MM 14.... If I am correct, the enterprise edition became available from MM 15
In that case you don't have MM for Enterprise.

If you have MM 14 the connection to sharepoint looks like this


I am not sure it works with all Sharepoint releases though.
