Copy tags across linked maps?

Guys, I have a large map that I'm creating "linked" maps as sub-topics, and in the main map I've created some custom TAGS.  When I create a "linked" map it does not transfer my custom tags to the new map. Is there a way to make the system do this natively, or can I "copy" my custom tags someway to my linked maps?  Thank you

Hi, in the Design tab, Templates group, select Marker Lists from the Template Organizer drop down list. From the dialog that opens, you can copy the current Marker List and paste it into other linked maps.

Here is a good webinar that was run by Mindmanager that covers this sort of thing and alot more ...

Managing them with Marker Lists is best practice.

An alternative is to:

- Select a topic to add a legend to
- Open Map Index: Click +, Insert Legend into Map

- Select the Legend parent topic
- Open Map Parts: Select folder, Add Selected Topic(s)

Now you have a map part which can be added to any map. The tags are then available on that map.

Neither process copies the Resources. I suggest creating a topic with includes all resources and saving this as a Map Part to reuse on other maps.

You can also copy tag and other marker groups in one map and paste them in the marker index of another map.
