Counting tags in sub-topics

Is it possible to use the COUNT formula to count the number of tags on a sub-topic? I used tags as a way of identifying a list of items in another part of the map and I'd like to somehow count the tags in each sub-topic to give me a total number of tags.

If it is just to know  the numbers of tags in your map you can find the info in the Marker Index
It shows the total number of tags and also how many time a specific tag is used.

When you select a tag in the marker index, the topic where it resides is highlighted.

By the way, you can create your own tag groups and rename them anyway you want .
Just right click on the general tags name and you see the options.

Would be be able to share a screenshot of (part of) the map with the tags? Normally the Formula function has no access to things like tags, icons, task info etc. but maybe there's another way to solve this?
