Is there a way to change the default action of clicking on a hyperlink in MindManager2012? I find the default action of opening the a linked file within the Mindmanager application problematic. I would much prefer to have a linked file opened by it's associated applicatio outside of Mindmanager.

Thanks.

Hello Durrell

There are three ways:

1. On the Insert tab, in the "Topic Elements" group, click the lower half of the Hyperlink button (with the drop-down arrow on it). This displays an option for using the built-in browser that you can check or uncheck. Disabling this means that hyperlinks will always open outside MindManager. Although this is a ribbon command, it acts as a persistent global option.

2. If you leave the above option enabled, then right-clicking on the hyperlink icon on a topic will offer the choice of opening the hyperlink in the built-in browser or externally, so that you can choose per hyperlink.

3. You can also permanently disable the Browser add-in in File > Options > Add-Ins.
