The Design Partner Invitation causes MindManager to crash, whether I say Yes or No.  I looked through the knowledge base, and it suggested adjusting some registry parameters, but mine match what is recommented.  Additional suggestions?

John,

This is normally a result of not having the required permissions to write to the System Registry.

Please try the following:

1. Open the Windows Registry Editor
2.  Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindjet\MindManager\11\Settings
3. For entry 'LoggerInvitationShown' set the value to '1'.
4. For entry  'AllowLogging' set the  value to '0'.

My registry settings are as above, so there was no reason to edit them and I did not. Should I try to change them and change them back?

If those values are set, the Design Partner Invitation will no longer be shown when launching the application.

Did you install the software yourself, using the same user account on your PC?

Changed them from 1 and 0 to 0 and 1.  Same issue.  Changed them back to 1 and 0.  Same issue.

You know, it's possible that when I switched computers that the computer software folks installed it for me.  Been a while so I can't remember.  I am an Administrator.  Is there another registry key I should be looking for?

Removing and re-installing solved the problem.  Thanks so much Marian for your assistance.  Really appreciated the prompt response and the time you spent talking me through this.

I had the same problem. After short investigation I found that

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindjet\MindManager\14\Settings lost it's security inheritance from the parent key for unknown reason. I re-enabled inheritace and re-started the application. The problem is no longer present. I hope this helps others in similar situation.
