Different mmap files combined with 'link'in combination with HTML5 export

We are using 50 mmap files. There is a hierarchy with 3 levels between this 50 files.

I can jump inside MM2018 from one to the other files with links which are added with the ’Link’ function. So far every thing is ok.

I am  the administrator and the other users only use the generated content (read-only). So I use the ‘Export’-‘HTML5’ function.

If I open the HTML5 export file and click on a link then there is a problem that de filename.mmap file is not recognized by the browser.

If I changed in MM2018 the link from a filename.mmap to filename.html (there is a html export available) then it works correct in the browser. Bit I prefer a solution that in MM2018 I use the *.mmap files for the links. Is this possible?????

I know that this works with the ‘Attach Files’ function but the ‘Attach Files’ is already use for links to documents so for jumping between the files I want to use the ‘Link’ function.

I tested various options:
Used the Sendto function under right mouseclick to created a system of connected maps with a return link so I can click between them in mindmap format.

  • Export to HTML5 gives the behaviour you describe
  • After I did a combine all maps in the LinkedMaps view I tried again.
  • Same result.

  • I also tried both options using the Publish function. Both same result.

  • The only way to get to this is to do a combine all maps in One map containing all (50-) maps and do a HTML5 export. Now I have a clickable map working.

I agree this may not be what you want if your audience should only see their part of the maps and submaps
