Disable Update Check

Dear all,

I want to deploy the latest MindManager 2016 Admin Version to our colleagues in the company.

Is it possible to disable the auto-update check by default, e.g. by a command during the MSI installation?

Kind regards,

Simon

Did you check the Large Scale Deployment Guide on this? There is section dedicated to Registry settings which will also allow you to disable the Check For Updates feature (see screenshot below):

Mathieu,

Thank you, I did.

The problem is that I can't set a registry key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER as a setting for all users on a computer. It must be set in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as far as I know.

I can't find any description in the manual to handle it as a global setting.

Hmm, tried to set this using HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but that didn't work.

Maybe you could try to limit the users to not be able to write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE as this will disable the feature as well?
