"We would better understand our current map and its potential, when we would can permanently and directly overview the linked maps. In addition, you could add to them further classes like: most frequently linked, most frequently used and even with regard to the contents most similar maps. For the similarity MM could check the maps for keywords.

You could use a new pane and browser or eventually(?) add this to the my maps pane. "

A group of linked maps can often be seen as one single think space. Currently we are only able to see the tip of the iceberg, the current map. The side by side view would not only allow us to better overview the whole think space, but also to better navigate from map to map, without to change the view or to need to find the exact topic which is linked to the respective map.

We need two kinds of SIDE by SIDE view:
1. The possibility to see many opened maps to the same time.
2. The possibility to see all linked maps as list(hierarchical list or concept map) in a pane. Thumbnails could even increase recognition/understanding.

There are things you can do:

- View ribbon > Window > Split
- View > Document View > Linked Maps
