When I download a map from web file manager the file downloaded has its name changed by the addition of a number, e.g., map(2) . Is there a way to prevent this so that maps will be in sync between web and desktop computer?

Hi Larry,

If you download a map of the same name to the same folder it will always add a number to the end (2), (3), etc... to ensure it's not overwriting an existing file. To avoid this, you need to make sure that whatever directory you are using to download does not have a map of the same name existing or this will continue happening. This isn't a function of Mindjet as much as your browser.

If you really want to maintain a synch between your desktop and web files, I would recommend editing your files online using the Mindjet desktop product to avoid downloading versions of the same files to your download directory.
