"When I am researching in Firefox, I want to log items when I discover them by pulling them into my current map (dragging the favicon into MM2012). Doesn't appear to work in Firefox - can this be done, as it would speed up workflow in this situation."

"OK so this didn't work for me because of this Connect intermittent connection. This feature works, just that Connect had disconnected and the map was ReadOnly!

I had been searching for a quick way to do this for some time and found forum topics from years back to 05' with people requesting an extension for firefox to do this. I found a simple way to drag drop into MM with a firefox extension called Drag Tab As Shortcut. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...
Grab your FF tab and drag it to MM, thats it! It has the added benefit of not having to pick the topic where you want the shortcut first as you can drop it to where it should go.

I have been dragging and dropping both the favicon adjacent to the URL and any links on a page to MindManager for Windows from any browser for years. You can also drag images. Different browsers and the way the page has been coded will affect the way this works. Experiment.
The IE MindManager tool is useful because you can add page links without having to have the map in view. If someone created this for Firefox, Chrome and Safari they would get a lot of fans.
