Drop down menus are empty

When I select drop down menus from the ribbon, many of them don't work.  I get a transparent box but the menu options which should be inside are not there...This is not for all of them - some of the smaller ones work ok - but the larger ones don't.  It's as if it runs out of memory trying to load the list - but there are not many applications open on a very recent laptop.

tried it on my Windows pro 7 machine: All is ok.
tried it on my Windows 8 machine: All is ok.

On what OS are you working?

Have you tried a repair?

That's nice for you.  I don't expect that the application has an issue as such otherwise many people would be complaining...
OS is Windows 7.  I also have it installed on my Windows 10 desktop - and it works fine. It's a fresh install (today).  I haven't tried a repair - how do I do that?

Oh? From Control Panel - Programs?  I wish I could.  The application was installed using a corporate distribution system (Altris?).  I don't even have access to my control panel.

In that - corporate distribution system (Altris?) - case your systems admin should be able to assist.

Thanks for your suggestion.  I'm still looking for someone technical from Mindjet who may be able to suggest what the problem actually is so I can give the admins some guidance.  This is not their application so they will have the same questions.

Repair completed. No change - problem still exists.  I've given to my help desk to sort out.

Uninstalled, reinstalled.  Problem persists.
