I have saved a file that I created on my iPad in dropbox. I now want to access it via the web app at connect.mindjet.com. How can I do this? I can't seem to find any way in the web interface.

I am using mindjet for the first time to help manage my thoughts on a project I am working on and would appreciate any assistance.

If you select the book like icon located in the upper left hand corner of the toolbar, you will more than likely be brought into your "Root Folder." Tap the back button and you will see the option to add a cloud storage account. Here is where you will be able to access your Dropbox account. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

That works perfectly on the iPad, but it does not work on the web-based version. I'm using a Mac with the Google Chrome browser, and I don't see any book-like icon in the upper left corner of the toolbar.

Thanks again!

I apologize for the confusion. Dropbox is used as a Cloud storage space on the iPhone/iPad application. However, it is not part of the web-based version, which is why you are unable to find it in Connect.

I have a very similar challenge. I created a new map on my iPad within the Mindjet folder on my Dropbox. When I open that file on my PC based Mindjet, the only thing I have is the blank map - none of my updates!! I see no function in the iPad app to upload what I created to my Dropbox files and can find no documentation for the app to tell me how to do it.

When you created the new map on your iPad, did you specify the location as Dropbox? You will be prompted to choose where you want to save the file, either the Root Folder of the iPad application, Mindjet Connect or Dropbox. If you select Dropbox, you will need to click on the Mindjet folder and then finish by choosing "Use this Folder."

Please let me know if/what was different about the process that you used to save your map to Dropbox. Thank you Bill.

Yes, I specified Dropbox as the destination for the map. I did "use this folder", however it did not upload. I had to email it to myself to get a copy. It's a workaround, but pretty cludgy when I thought that Mindjet was set to save to Dropbox.

Thanks for the response Bill. Bear with me as I try to figure this out for you. Mindjet is the folder you are using to save your maps to Dropbox, correct? Did you create this folder on your desktop version of Dropbox, or was it automatically created when you signed into Dropbox via the iPad application?

Brittney, Thanks for your help. The folder was automatically created when I signed into Dropbox from the iPad (originally).

I am going to have to suggest two things. 1. Contact DropBox support as this may be related to an issue on their end. 2. You can try moving the mpas that you have in the Mindjet DropBox folder back to the root folder in the MindManager application. Once you have done that, delete the Mindjet DropBox folder. Try to re-sign into DropBox and save a map back to the Mindjet folder. Please let me know if this works. Thank you Bill.
