due date in MS-Project is corrupted

I am managing a big project in ms-project and need to visualize the data in mindmanager 11 (windows).

So i start mindmanager and import several ms-project files.

But today i found out that some of the due dates are corrupted and do not represent the data from ms-project.

After several hours of reading and searching and testing i found an article that told me its an "end-date start-date" bug:
http://www.activityowner.com/2010/08/...
(because of consistency with gantt charts they changed some calculations)

Please tell me how to fix or work-around with mindmanager 11 to view ms-project files or if there is an alternative way or plugin/script.

If there is no way i have to use Mindmanager 8 (!!) again - because its working there but i also need the power-filter options to handle the large amount of data.

Hope you can help,
christoph

Christoph,

I have opened case 297841 with our Technical Support Team to follow up with you regarding this issue. I assume that you are still in the APAC region and still use your email address at machwerk?

Hello Terry

If this is a "bug", please share more details with the community. As far as I know, it is designed behaviour for MindManager to silently change date information without giving any warning. This sounds like a bad thing, and it is. The two mechanisms that do this are the map calendar, and the lock between start date, due date and duration. Either can cause the date you thought you had entered to change to something else. Having this functionality as an option that can opted into has been requested for a very long time, since MindManager 9. Is there anything new in MindManager 14 in this area?

Hello Hugobart

You might be able to get an improvement by ensuring that the map calendar corresponds exactly with the working days and hours per day in MS Project. But I guess there could still be issues in the translation of other fields from MS Project.

If you do get a workaround or solution, please could you share it here? There many others interested in this subject.
