Does anyone know if on the export option, into either Word or HTML if we the program will embed the attachments? For example, I have a word document and an excel spreadsheet. I would like the contents of those two attachments to show up in exported document. It seems like it should be possible. To create an export that has a toc and the attachments are inserted in the body of the document.

In the Word export attachments are copied to a folder with the name "map file name.docx - Attachments". You can zip the docx and the folder, and send to someone else.

In the Web export if you use hyperlinks or attachments they will be included in the export. Links will be changed to point to a copy in the Linked Documents folder of the export. They won't be embedded in the web pages.

A work around is to paste the document contents into the Topic Notes of your MindManager map.

For Excel pasting the spreadsheet directly into the topic notes may not be successful. Paste to Word first then MindManager. I found screen clips of ranges to be the best way of getting spreadsheets into web or Word pages.

The Word and Web exports do not support the Topic embedded Excel Range.

OPTi-Word for MindManager will have the ability to include Excel, Word and PDF attachments in the Word export in version 3.4 which should be available sometime next week.

Currently it will only support single attachments and will only export the last selected worksheet of an Excel file which you may need to size in the exported Word document but it looks good so far.

Stay tuned or download the current 3.3 version from the Olympic website and tur on auto-updates to get notified when 3.4 is released.
