I am using the trial version of Mindjet 11 and when trying to import tasks from Outlook, I am getting the error message: Could not connect to Microsoft Outlook. I am using Outlook 2012.

Can the support center please help on this issue?

thanks.

Thomas,

Can you do the following?

1. Shut down your version of Mindjet.

2. In your command line prompt (you get this by clicking on your windows icon and typing cmd.exe. A black screen should open up), type the following command:

"C:/progr4am files (x86)\Mindjet\MindManager 11\Redemption.dll"

(with the quotes).

3. Restart your app.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, please let us know what type of outlook account you are using (pop3/exchange) and which version of Outlook.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks for your reply. I did what you said and received the following error message:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

I tried to import Outlook tasks into Mindjet after that and received the same error message as before.

I am using an Outlook exchange account and Outlook 2010 version 14.0.6112.5000 (64-bit).

Can you help again?

Thanks,

Thomas

Thomas,

I see the issue now. We don't yet support the integration with the 64-bit version of Outlook. This is in our queue for future updates.

Hi Michael,

That's really not good news, would suggest you place a clear disclaimer on your upgrade pages, no point in investing in 64-bit hardware and software if it is not supported by you guys, especially since MM licenses are more on the expensive side too... feels a bit like good money wasted at the moment...
