Evernote export problems (Could not connect to Evernote server)

Why does the Export to Evernote feature almost always have an issue connecting to the evernote server? This is not an issue with the mindmap as it can have only one node. The problem seems to exist between the minjet and evernote servers.

Frustrating to be heading to a meeting and be unable to produce a paper outline of a project for management.

Are you receiving some sort of an error message when trying to export to Evernote or what is happening? Do you have any notes in your map? Any additional information that you might be able to provide would be most helpful. Thank you!

To add to my above comment, what browser are you using? Try exporting to Evernote in FireFox and let me know if that works for you.

I have the same problem. I try to export through Firefox and Chrome - both the latest versions. One problem in both cases - can not connect to the Evernote server.

Only error is that MinJet could not connect to the Evernote Server. Logged in to evernote in another browser. Using in IE.

Results:
IE does not open the window prompting for evernote credentials while firefox does. Select export settings in firefox but receive message "An error occurred while sending your map content to evernote. Please try again later.

Another point to note is that the authorization for mindjet does show up in evernote when the export was attempted using firefox

Are there any plans to provide an outline export in text format? It would be convenient to be able to quickly extract an outline, especially with the instability of the evernote feature.

Try clearing your browser cache to see if that helps the problem that you are experiencing when connecting to Evernote.

In regards to your question about a text outline view, this is possible by choosing the "Outline" radio button after clicking the "send to Evernote" button.

I hope that this helps. Thanks!

Let me clarify that outline question. I was looking for an export that just showed the outline on a webpage so I could copy/paste the outline into Word when the evernote export fails (which seems to be all the time).

Deleting the browsing cache does not seem to work. Since I need an outline of the project I have in MindJet for senior management for a presentation tomorrow, it looks like I'll have to re-create it by hand.

Hopefully these issues (which seem very common on the forums) actually get resolved at some point. I'll just go back to FreeMind - which does NOT open MindJet files either so I will have to re-create all of my work again....

Are you using Mindjet Connect Basic or Mindjet Connect Business? This feature is available in Connect Business only. If you are using the Basic account, that may be why you are unable to use the outline feature.

huh? Works sometimes with basic. I DID get it to work once with a map that I created for testing.

If export to evernote is a business feature why does it even show up as an option when signed in to a basic account????

I apologize. My last response was not clear.

Exporting an outline format to Microsoft Word by using the Export to Word option is only available in the business version of Connect.

I hope that clears up the confusion. Exporting to Evernote is available in both Connect Basic and Connect Business.

The problem I have is that the Evernote Server does not open a window large enought to authorize access. It opens a window about 3 inches by 2 inches with no scroll bar to get to the "OK". I happen on my free version and the business version.

Hi Daniel. What browser are you using? Try clearing your cache and seeing if this will work in Firefox or Chrome. If the problem persists, please let me know.

I use Explorer. I tried clearing the cache. Did not work. Same problem in Chrome.

Here is the snagit of the popup window from evernote. I states that I have to authorize this action. But, the popup window is too small to get to the authorization box, and I can not scroll down to see any more of the text. Here is a jpg of the popup.

I'm getting this error as well using Chrome. It posted my first note today fine but the second is erroring. I am only selecting a sub branch for export. Posting this in case the details can lead to a resolution.
