Hi Joseph,

Great idea. It isn't possible yet to include markers in the CSV export yet.

I'm moving the from question to an idea for future consideration.

Hello, just wanted to see if there was an update on exporting marker info to CSV.

We're mapping out a large product and would like to export markers so we may cross-tab and analyze features by release number, primary user persona, feature group, etc.

Alternately, is there a way to perform this type of analysis in MM? Thanks!

I don't see how you could export markers to Excel with the standard export. This generates CSV files which are comma-separated files and as far as I know these can handle only text-based values and not graphics, which is what the markers are.

You would therefore need the ability to export directly to Excel. I seem to recall that there used to be a third-party MindManager add-in which did this and which could export graphics for the priority markers ( which you can export anyway in the standard facility as numbers to the CSV file) but I'm not sure if it handled other markers.

This however illustrates the other issue with exporting markers to Excel (or for that matter Word); even if you could do this the markers would appear as graphics in the resulting file. This might be useful for display purposes but you wouldn't be able to do much else with them in Excel except edit them as graphics.
