When I click on the Excel Range, I get this:

Plus MindManager does not work with the 64bit version of MS Office.

yes, so that's the rub eh? Well that explains why some students in my class can get things working and others (including myself) not. so what would be the best solution? I am running all Office in various VMs on various macs, so perhaps I can convert / reinstall MS Office into a 32 bit version? If that's what it would take, I am willing. I also don't see the roundtrip clicks that I thought I saw awhile back, where you can export to MS Project, and then from MS Project, bring the data back into the map. Is that right? Cheers!

That's what I did uninstalled Office 64 and installed Office 32.

Export to MS Project and Import from MS Project are still options with MindManager 14.

You can add them to the Quick Access toolbar.

There is still a MindManager button on the Task ribbon in MS Project.

I don't have a Mindmanger button in MS Project (no Add In either). But I have a 64-bit version of that as well. oh geez, looks like a complete rebuild to get things working :)
