Expand the new MindMaanager 14 PowerFill conditional formatting feature to work with dates as well as numbers

I suggest that the new SmartFill feature in MindManager 14 be expanded from just working with numeric data to also be able to be used to set conditional formatting at the topic level for other parameters, for example the relationship between due dates and deadlines.

This would replace the current “past due” and “at risk” parameters on the Task Info tab and would allow users to set different topic fill colours based on for example “due in two days”, “due this week”, etc.

The choice of topic attribute and parameters should continue to be user-defined but expanded to include dates etc as well as numbers and the range of fill options be increased from three to at least six.

Conditional formatting based on topic fill colour is one of the best ways to read a large map, as you can see at a glance the overall "health" of a project as well as being able to identify quickly any tasks which require urgent action.

I’m also suggesting this as a way of replacing the Marker Index add-in pack which provided conditional formatting via an active legend on the map (a feature Mindjet acquired when they purchased the great PowerMarkers add-in). While this feature worked well (and I will miss it) it was a little inaccessible. The SmartFill feature potentially provides an easier way of achieving a similar outcome.

Excellent suggestions. We are definitely considering this for a future release.

Can I please add to this discussion? Can we also have the option of IF statements in formulas to support Smart Fills. Also can we have the ability to apply markers/flags based upon a conditional criteria

Hello. I have tried to develop some process indicators with AutoCalc and SmartFill. However, one I really need that is important has DATE data. Unfortunately a property on a topic only accepts numeric kind. Can someone tell why DATE data part is not available? This would solve my problem.  I believe this is a basic feature to be added for doing easy AutoCalc's and further automate SmarFill indicators. I was reading the original request / comments from Alex posted 1 year ago and I just recently purchased the MM15. Any good news??? These added capabilities may help a lot. Thanks much!
