I have created a map in version 17.1 and I want to export the whole map, however it creates multiple pages, can you do this is V17? I know that past versions equally lack a good export of PowerPoint.

It is a two step process. To export to powerpoint you have to create slides first. These slides are the source for the export.

Now if you want to create a powerpoint slide of your whole map do the following:
  • Take care everything topic is expanded
  • Select the central topic
  • Go to view => presentations and select create slide from topic.
  • Now you have the slide and you can export that to powerpoint
(by the way I don;t know who told you that "past versions equally lack a good export of PowerPoint" but he/she/they are wrong, althought there is always room for improvement; do you have any idea's? ;-)

If you want the image of your MMap on your powerpoint slide. Do the first two steps above and then export as an image file ( File=> export+> As Image ) that you can import in a powerpoint presentation.

Hi Ary, thank you so very much for that I can see what I had not done it select the central topic first and therefore it was exporting previously on a topic by topic basis. I've only just started using Mindmap but I think it's excellent. . . . I'm going to see the 'so called' SME's round here and go and educate them now.
