I'm using MM9 to capture complex business requirements for an IT projects and want to tag each filter on the scenario.  Then, my theory is that I can export all of that into an excel spread sheet and massage it into a pivot table based on the tagging.  Is this feasible?  Sorry can't find exactly the right answer in the forum history..  Will also update to MM12 with any other bits needed if this is what it takes.  Also, I'm using Windows 8.
Thanks

Sorry, I'm a little unclear about what you're trying to do.

If you are trying to filter by text tags and then export the results, have a look at Map2Excel from ActivityOwner.Com - http://www.activityowner.com/products/map2excel/ . This add-in will export just about everything connected with a topic, including text tags (MM 12, MJ 11 and MM 14 all have the facility to export to a CSV spreadsheet, but while this can export topic properties it doesn't handle tags).

There is a version of Map2Excel for MM 9 and Office 2010. When it exports the resulting spreadsheet will show all the tags and other properties in the export as a column with the topics in rows; there will be a "1" in the text tag column if that topic had that particular tag in the map. It should be possible to massage this into a pivot table, though it might take a bit of work.

Thanks I'll try that.  I'm guessing MM12 would be the optimal tool for this - plus Map2Excel?  I'm more than happy to massage it if I can get it into a pivot table.
(the reason it needs to go into one of those is a table join to another list....)

I don't think you need to upgrade to MM 12 or MM 14 to do this, though each offers other advantages (and some disadvantages) relative to MM 9.

I believe that the versions of Map2Excel for MM 9 to MM 14 are identical, but you should check this with Activity.com.
