Export to Word Java problem

When I try to export to Word, I get this dialog box:

L’exportation de « ProcessusCCDMD14-03-05.mmap » a échoué.
Java doit être installé sur votre ordinateur afin que les maps puissent être exportées. Si Java est installé, l’échec de l’exportation est alors dû à une erreur d’application ou de fichier système.

Translated: The export of “ProcessusCCDMD14-03-05.mmap” failed.Java must be installed on your computer so that the maps can be exported. If Java is installed, the failure of export is then due to an error of application or system file.

I use MindManager Version 10.3.605 for Mac

on Mac OS X 10.9.2

Java 7.51 (build 1.7.0_51-b13) is enabled

I just find that the export to word works with an older version of the file. So the problem is in the file.

The fact is that the newer file is an evolution of the older file so why the map corrupt itself? It is very annoying.

I can also export the defective file in HTML 5 or RTFD with no problem.

I can send the two files if you want.

There might be some settings which were saved at a later stage in the map and are causing the problems now.

If you want, you can send the two maps to mathieu@ahacoaching.nl so I can have a look at them.

I find a fix. I Save As my non exporting to Word map in Map (XML) Mind Manager format. This file canot export to Word too. Then I Save As again in Map Mind Manager format and it fixed my map, I can export to word again. This is weird.

There is some new information: this seems to be related to hyperlinks and/or attachments in the map. See the discussion in this thread: https://community.mindjet.com/mindjet/topics/export_issues-clpz3?utm_source=notification&utm_med...

It is a shame that this problem has not been fixed yet, after so many months of disruption and problems to users (I've had this problem for ages). Shame on this company.

I have tried all the above. Even an new clean mindmapis causing the error. I have latest JAVA installed. I amusing a MacBook Air. I always have used the Manager on windows. Ian experiences many issues with the mac version, including this export.

The error is always...  If Java is installed on your computer then the export failed due to an application or filesystem error.

It is a standard application. All other app's work ( Office, MS-ONE NOTE etc. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Hi Henry,
I tried with a sample map without hyperlinks. It did ́t work anyway. Does it work for you, without links?

Hi All,

This is a known issue with MindManager for Mac. On Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, the exports are not working at all. On Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks and prior, the exports will sometimes complete depending on what content has been added to the Map.

We are working on getting an update out to address this issue but I do not have a timeline to provide at the moment.

I'm experiencing the same issue.  None of the export options seem to work at all.  Doesn't matter which application is being targeted - the problem is the Java runtime, which is up to date.

So basically the product was not fully tested before sending out, relying on these types of problems to fix issues. Far too late in the day, and i am having the same problems as kited. You need to provide an update or a date when this is released or start paying back money, as the product basically does not work for all users.

The Word export issue in Yosemite is enough of a known issue that it's been added to the Mindjet knowledgebase: http://kb.mindjet.com/articles/en_US/Knowledge_Article/MindManager-for-Mac-Java-Error-is-Received-Wh...

The apparent solution is to export as text.

Not being able to export a mind map to a web-viewable format is a show stopper for me. Having files suddenly be incompatible between Mac and Windows versions because of XML file errors is also another major known issue. Because of these issues and the feature disparity between Mac and Windows versions, I'm going to have to switch to a different mind mapping application.

Having known issues without solid work arounds for years is unexcusable.

Why is it that mindjet is not acting to fix this or at least they take their clients seriuos. I am using the sw for years. Recently upgraded because i use an imac in addition. Today with a client again the export failur. I think we should discuss what application is the altenative to mindjet and make make that known to the market. This is unacceptable. What is the alternative? Maybe we can get volume discount with an alternative product. Let's shar our experiences....

Hi Peter, we're actively working on a patch for this issue and will release it as soon as it's fixed (and tested) on our end. Apologies for the delay. This particular issue has been a tricky one to resolve. We're almost there.

This topic is already 10 month old. This does not seem a priority It is not a priority for the Mindjet team.

Agreed. I am waiting for michaels report to indicate when it will be fixed. I am very close to stop mindmap and move to an alternative including some creating noise in the market. If i would be as resonsive in my biz, i would have lost many clients. Especially the loyal clients are the most " dangerous ones". Loyalty you don't buy, but you deserve. Mindjet is losing that big time. I am not recommening anymore. Again, if not fixed within this month i will give up.

Good morning, I'm listening. We are actively working on this issue. If you have ever programmed, you might understand that it is extremely difficult to predict how long debugging and fixing something might take. That being said, it is my hope to have this fix out before the month ends. As soon as possible is my goal.

What ́s happening?  Is there at least in the road map now? The lack of information is very irritating.. It feels like you decided not to fix this and hope for MAC users to stay anyway?
