I cannot seem to export any Map with visible Topic properties and values (Also calculated topic properties and values from formulas).

Is this functionality available or will it be in the future?

Hi Zak,

The properties can be exported to the Word format or the Spreadsheets. There are options that can include properties (and formula values) if you turn the option on. They aren't available in the dynamic PDF or SWF exports but are visible if you save the map as a PDF (if you have a PDF driver installed) or if you save the map as an image.

Hope that helps,
Michael

when you select export, you'll be asked to name your file and pick a location. the next step is a dialog called 'export to spreadsheet (csv) settings'. in the dialog, there is a 'more' option. Select 'more' and select 'include topic properties'.

May I ask what type of map you've created (which includes properties / formulas)? (e.g. Project map, budget, etc...)

Thanks for the response. I had found out the option in dialog box and tried. The results are not satisfactory since the CVS generated does not include a row for the value/formula for a manager. Thus, if I have a Manager M1 (headcount =1) with departments A (headcount=3) and B (headcount=6); I get only rows for A and B. No value for the manager (headcount=1) is included in either the std table or the pivot table. Since I am trying to analyze an 1000-employees organization (including headcount and personnel costs), the export function does not work well for me.

I believe based on your description you'd want the 'outline' option when you export.

Thanks - Ah - I see. What about The Html route? Ideally it would be useful for the more "graphical" and Interactive exports to have this capability.

I frequently need to share a detailed map regarding project progress and the dynamic/interactive exports would be far better.

The MS Word Export is unnecessarily unwieldy for my requirements and the basic picture file too limiting.

Are there plans for this requirement going forward?

Thanks again

The properties should also be visible in the HTML route.

Thanks for the feedback. We have some limitations with the PDF/SWF exports but we're discussing options to provide easier sharing for future releases.
