trying to export a project from Mindmanager 9 to MS Porject 2007 failed
with error message

"failed to export data to microsoft project"

I tried it with very small projects and tried it with a project that was
imported from MS project (the Mindmanager add-in in MS Project works
fine, so I can export Projects from MS project to Mindmager but giving
them back does'n work).
Other export options work fine (word, pdf, zip, web-page)

Mark,

Check to see if your default for new projects in Microsoft Project always displays the Project Summary Task. In Project 2007, go to "Tools, Options, View tab, Outline Options section (at the bottom of that tab)" Look for the option, "Show project summary task". In Project 2010, go to "File, Options, Advanced" and look in the Display Options section for an option called, "Show Project summary task". You'll also not a pull-down for that section where you can indicate that your revision of any options in this section should be applied to "All New Projects".

While you can choose to display or not display the Project Summary Task anytime you desire, when it's displayed, I've found it interferes with the export to Microsoft Project function of MindManager.

Hope this helps!

Be sure that when you set the display pull down option to "All New Projects" that the selection "sticks." You may need to go into options a couple of times and verify that the change took. I didnt think that Mark's suggestion worked until I went back into Project and noticed that the pull down was still set to "Project1" still. Another save did the trick.
