When entering holidays, it is time consuming to load dates over numerous years. I would like the federal calendars be set up automatically.

Whose "Federal calendars"? The US, Australia, Canada, Germany, Austria or Brazil's?

Actually, after overcoming my irritation at the seeming US-centric nature of the original post, the ability to load different different default national holiday sets is a feature which MM is obviously lacking.

I can think of two options - either Mindjet could release a calendar file with holidays for a range of countries that the user can select from, or there is an option for the user to import the set of holidays currently used in their copy of Outlook or Google calendar.

OMG...Imagine the disruption to the start, end, duration and now effort attributes on a task...and the gantt view not to mention the working hours and days of the resources....

Problematic at best...

I agree that it would be extremely problematic to import holidays automatically, but it should work if it was optional.

An option to import a set of pre-defined holidays to populate the calendar should have no more impact on duration and the other task attributes than entering holidays manually, which MM already allows users to do.

It needs to automated. It is unreasonable to have to manually adjust the holidays each year. Additionally, since holidays input after a map is built will not automatically update, tasks on an existing map have to be manually adjusted.

I am really surprised - 6 years after this post has been created, it seems there is still no solution or workaround available, to maintain public holdidays in general for all MM user.

Does anyone know where the holidays are saved that I have entered in Options -> Task Info?
Can I find them in the windows registry?

Looks like they are stored in the Registry, the following settings (see 1st screenshot) translates to the following settings in the registry (2nd screenshot).

Thank you Mathieu. Really helpful. So I am able to enter all the Holidays for the next few years and to deploy this registry entry to others.

Yes. I think this should work, Alex.
