File Explorer Map Part - displays only first level subfolders

I need to build a map of ALL the folders of a file share. When I add the File Explorer map part (All Folders), only the first level folders and their subfolders are displayed in the map.

Is there a way to set how many levels deep the scan should be, so I can have all or part of the file share structure?

You can try pulling in the file explorer map part to get the first level. From there, continue to pull in this map part to create the deep level scan you were looking for.

This is not practical. We are talking about over 100,000 files in over 10,000 folders and 15 levels deep (these numbers are typical).

So I understand from your answer that there is no way to customize the sacn?

That is correct. MindManager does not allow you to customize the scan that you are referring to above. What I will do is change your question to an idea so that our product team can take a look at it when they are prioritizing features for future releases. This will help them to understand our customer's needs. Thank you.

Ditto. 5 years later this option (or the documentation) hasn't been updated?

IIRC, this option had been around for a while, many moons ago ... i think there was a parameter that would allow control of depth

Dear MATTHEW REYES,

Thank you for contacting Mindjet Support. Unfortunately, the Files and Folder option only goes about 3 levels deep. Everything under that third level would need to be brought over manually.

If you need further assistance, simply reply to this email or give us a call.

Best regards,

Greetings,
I am trying to modify the All Files and Folders Map Part to allow me to display an additional level of directories and folders. The existing tool does not do what I need; it only lists Files and Folders in the top level of the nest.

Is there a means to make this happen? It is not trivial to repeat this function for every nested folder. If it's not possible, please consider updating your documentation (not to mention the Map Part title) to clarify this lack of functionality.

Thanks
