Filters are little files on their own. We have some default markers that are standard on every map but to have all the markers ever created would be confusing not to mention challenging (what if I wanted to use the same icon for different marker descriptions on different maps). Therefore, we have the ability to add & remove marker groups
If you want to use Dropbox, You will have to save the marker list and upload it to Dropbox along with the marker list. NOTE: Dropbox is not a supported application of MindManager for Mac.
If you are using a Mac, Open the Inspector and go to Marker List.
- There is "+" button at the bottom left, select "create marker group".
- Use the down arrow next to the newly created marker group and select "New Marker"
- Create as many markers as you need to.
- Once you are finished, click "OK".
- Click on the marker group so it's highlighted
- Next to the "+" is a gear drop down, click and select "Save Marker Group"
- Save this marker group to your desktop OR directly to Dropbox
When you open up the map, use that same gear to add the marker list to your map.
My recommendation is to move your files over to
Mindjet Connect. In Connect, the marker groups will stay intact and you'll be able to work in the web version of the map and/or download it to use within MindManager for Mac.
