Hi Roger,

Apologies for the 404 error - that looks like an outdated link. This one should work. If it does not, or if you're looking for something else, please let me know.

Best,

But has Mindjet reached our final goal.... full parity between WIndows and Mac version?

Windows vs. Mac Comparison Chart

As you see, not quite, but this is a major leap forward.

Not sure if this is a major leap forward, at least not in my use case, where I use MM as a visual design tool for project planning. I've suggested many times to MM support that the mac version spit out .mpp files, but to no avail. Without that data format, MM limits what tools it can work with, i.e. any program that imports/exports .mpp. I use ProjectPlan365 and MS Project, and even though I am on a mac, I have to go to windows to do project work - ridiculous!

Hello,

I am interested to know if the issue of exporting to Word has been resolved in the new version?

Hey Mark,

There are still some known export to Word issues. We are working on resolving these in the upcoming 11.1 release in the next couple months.

Thank you for your patience!

So having switched to iMindmap some 5 years ago when Mindjet ceased to work reliably you expect me to pay for the upgrade promised around 2014? A tad late I would say.

Hey Patrick,

Your criticism is valid. It's been too long between releases. We have made some development team changes internally and are now better staffed for frequent and timely releases of substance.

I appreciate that you are still here on the forum contributing. We hope to win you back at some point when we have a track record or releases.

Sincerely,

Mark

I note that the website states that any previous Mac version of MindManager is valid for an upgrade price. However, I can't locate the cost of the upgrade nor a link to be able to purchase it.

Would you mind clarifying the position on upgrades?

It is a big step where we have been waiting for. Thank you! But do we now have to wait for an other five years until we see more progress. There are still  a lot of issues we want to see for the Mac: presentation mode, multiple map in one document, gantt view etc. what are you further dev plans=

Hi Martin,

You definitely won't be waiting another 5 years. Since the acquisition by Corel we have been making it a priority to invest more in the development of the Mac product. Hopefully that shows in this release.

We aim to have a follow up 11.1 release with anything reported from customers and the community included and then we will be setting our eyes on Mac 12 which we hope will be delivered in Q1 next year (dates may vary slightly).

Please be vocal about anything that you see that you think should be changed and keep the feedback coming!

I think it is a real stretch for customers to pay for this upgrade when it was promised "very shortly" before I lost my hair!

Hey Patrick. I understand your perspective here and sorry it has taken us longer than you expected. All I can say is that it won't be this long until the next release and we have released 2 releases in the last 12 months with 10.6 and 11.0.

Please shoot me an email at mark.beare@mindjet.com and I would be happy to talk more directly about this if it interests you.

P.S. While I have some control over the release frequency on the Mac releases I don't have any power over hair growth or loss. Sorry I can't help there :)

Hi Mark!

I am a heavy user of MM since 2006. Love your app, use it regularly in my work. Very exited with the new opportunities of v11! Was waiting for that for a while, especially for 'Flow' functionality as I also have to deal with business processes and software app usage flows. Thank you and sincere congrats that you made it!!

However, I'd like to express my pretty deep concern about one simple but critical feature missing that existed in all older versions. That is: importing by pasting tab-marked text as topics.

Before: I could open MM document -> select branch of topics -> copy -> paste it as text to text editor -> modify it in text editor -> paste it as a branch of topics back to (another) MM document.
OR
I could find some structured text somewhere (in HTML, PDF, XLS/DOC, or wherever else), copy it, edit it in plain-text editor by adding tabs to each line equaling the topic level, then paste it as a branch of topics to a MM document.

This feature was saving a hell of a time for bulk topic editing and for importing structured branches of text to MM. And now it's not there.

I do request you very much to get it back.

Thank you so much for understanding.

Best,
Andrey
