Hello everybody,
i'm trying now to make automatically movable a floating topic which is linked to a "master" topic.I mean, i have a tree with a certain sub-topic where i have created a floating topic linked to this sub-topic. So of course when i will add a new sub-topic in the same branch, the topic linked with the floating one is moving, but not the floating one !Is it possible to make moving the floating one to be sure it will follow all the time the sub topic where it's connected/linked?
Thanks in advanceDavid

I’m not sure if I have this right but from your description it sounds like you have a sub-topic attached to a floating topic with a relationship line, and the floating topic won’t move if the sub-topic is moved.

One option is to use a callout instead of a floating topic. You can remove the line connecting the callout to the topic to make it look like a floating topic - indeed you can make the callout invisible and attach a “floating” topic to it.

I’ve described a few options which may be relevant in this post on my blog: https://sociamind.com/2015/03/02/crea...

Hello Alex,

Yes you understood i think only partially my problem, i did have a look on your explaination and using the callout option can be a good alternative, but i'm facing now a new problem, the fact is that the callout looks like it can't be aligned vertically with the one on the top, maybe a screenshot will be better to explain that:

So in fact if i try to move the callout topics, they never move on the top of each other, left side the top one can't be placed vertically above the botom one, i have always a gap between the 2 callout on the left and it's similar on the right.
Why i told you you understood maybe only partially my question, i meant that if i add a new sub topic on the branch on the left, initally when i had floating topics instead of the callouts, i was interested to move (rearrange automatically) the positions of the floating topics, but anyway, this is quite ok, if there is no other way to make it "right" i will use this solution, even if it's not really "pretty" this solution is always better than the previous one where the floating topics was showing all the time :)
Thank you very much for your answer.
David

Apologies - I forgot to add that there is only limited control over the placement of callouts, so this isn’t a perfect solution. However there doesn’t seem to be a better approach, or at least one I can identify.
