Gradient fill for topic boxes

This is a newbie question. I'm working for a client on a series of mind maps which need a fairly complex system of colour-coded fills for topic boxes. I can see how to set block colours and to use images to create patterned backgrounds. However I can't see an option on Mindmanager 2012 to set a gradient two-colour fill for the topic box. I understand from the user manual that 'gradient' means a slight shading that you can enable or disable in 'visual effects'. What I'm looking for is something that will progress from yellow to blue (or whatever) top to bottom, or left to right, or even diagonally across the topic box.
Am I just missing something, or would this require separate images for each coloured gradient effect.

Thanks for your advice.

This would require separate custom topic shapes for each of the shading effects. It would also mean you could not use Map Markers to catalogue and code the meaning of the shading effects, whereas if you use colours from the topic fill and topic text palettes, you can assign meanings to them and create a key, which might be more helpful. Unless the shadings are already predefined by another process and need to be accurately repeated in the map, I would suggest considering using an alternative feature to code them.

You could switch on the -show fill color gradients - box under file =>options => visual effects.

Now you have more options under design => fill colour.
Do play around with it and check every option, there may be more than you see at first glance

However, with gradients on printing to pdf does not always work as expected,
Also you can select only one per topic as far i found ;-)

Thank you Nick and Ary for helpful responses.
I'm much clearer now about the options in Mindmanager.
Looks like its a question of either changing the client's mind or changing the software.
